The Fundamentals Programme is our specially-designed pathway, developed for Kiwis who understand the benefits of strength training but don’t know where to begin.

Our vision is to get as many Kiwis into strength training as possible and we pursue this goal by making strength training safe, easy to understand and most importantly – enjoyable.

This often starts with addressing the intimidation that people often associate with the weights area of the gym and the feeling that they don’t belong.

We begin with machines in the first instance because they are the safest and easiest place to start. Machines help you to learn the basic movement patterns, build confidence and experience how strength training should feel without being overwhelmed.

From there, each step in our series adds a new layer of complexity and a new element of fun – introducing you to new equipment and building upon what you already know.

You are will never be thrown into an exercise before you are ready and we have hundreds of alternative exercises to accomodate any injuries that you might have. You progress through a safe and structured system that is easy to understand and allows you to develop your confidence one step at a time.

Learn With Us – Then Train Without Us

Our business model is not built around keeping you dependent on our personal trainers forever.

Instead, our model is intentionally designed to develop your confidence, skill and independence so that you eventually won’t need us – this is arguably a terrible business model, which is why we’re so appreciative of every single Client Testimonial and referral.

We guide you through each stage of your programme – teaching you the exercises, helping you to understand the technique and providing clear guidance on how to train safely and independently.

After that, you are supported to continue this momentum on your own through the use of our App.

The App gives you your workouts, instructions, exercise records, and progress tracking, so you can keep training without needing your trainer beside you every session.

No Commitment – No Pressure

The pace is yours to control.

You can learn the A-Series and leave it there.

Six weeks later, you can graduate and begin the B-Series.

Or you can come back to us six months later.

Never again works for us too.

There is no long-term commitment and no pressure to keep progressing.

Our Fundamentals Programme gives you a clear place to start, but where you decide to finish is entirely up to you.

Strength Re-Assessment

At the beginning of your programme, we record what you can do – the weights you can handle and the repititions you achieve.

At the end of six weeks, we re-assess two selected movements (one lower-body and one upper-body) to clearly demonstrate how much you’ve progressed in such a short amount of time.

This matters because the beginning of your strength training journey is where momentum is either built or lost.

When you know that you are going to be re-assessed, you have a reason to stay consistent. When you see the numbers improve between each session, progress becomes proof and motivation stays high.
